SPEAKER_01I'm Rashida.
SPEAKER_00I'm Tassiday.
SPEAKER_01Here we talk about the bond that goes beyond generations, beyond expectations, and beyond words.
SPEAKER_00This episode, the topic is who knows who better? I'm out of here. And my mom is stepping out while I give you guys the questions I'm giving her to answer and then my answers to the questions. But first, do you and your mother know each other's favorites? Or other people in your family know your favorite things? And do you enjoy discussing them or gifting them things? Because that's what we love to do. So, first, I want to get a little deep into my first question. What is my favorite ice cream flavor? We love going to this one ice cream shop, so delicious. We used to go weekly when they first opened, but now we go like once a month to get a pint of our own. We do not share ice cream. In this family, we love and devour our ice cream and we don't want to share it. So, my answer to my favorite ice cream flavor is cookies and cream or vanilla. So she can choose either or. Hopefully, she gets these rights because something she doesn't remember that I like or don't. So this is a test of time to my mother if she knows my favorite things. My second question is what is my favorite thing to do to relax? In high school, I did a lot of painting and selling my artwork because I was also in National Art Honor Society, so I enjoy doing that. And then my other answer is listening to music. I know a lot of people always have their ear pods in or headphones listening to music as they're running, jogging, working out, or taking a hike, whatever, in the car, enjoying their playlist because I love a good playlist and I'm blasting my music in my car on the way to work or just want to take a drive. My third question is what is my favorite drink? And I love a good Shirley Temple. Not everyone knows how to make a Shirley Temple. There's certain restaurants that need to work on it a little bit. But my favorite drink is a Shirley Temple. And also, if I'm feeling a little, you know, want to have some fun while I'm going out with friends, family, I'm celebrating something, my favorite alcoholic beverage is a Malibu Bay Breeze. It's like juice, but it's also really good. But you know, more of a Shirley Temple girl on an everyday basis. And then my fourth question is what is my favorite dessert other than ice cream? Like my all-time favorite. If I want it on my birthday, I'm craving it on a you know, on a day where I'm sad or overwhelmed. I always enjoy a great strawberry shortcake. Especially the one at Wegman's is delicious. They hardly make it, but when they do, I always grab the $20 sheet cake of a strawberry shortcake. You guys are the goats with your gluten-free stuff because I am gluten-free. So certain things I can't eat that I used to. And then my fifth question is what is my favorite restaurant? And I know we all love food. I enjoy good food. So my favorite restaurant as of right now is Sedona Tat House. So good. So good. Um, I also enjoy this new spot in Wayne. It's called Burton's, but we'll see which one she picks. Um, but yeah, I always enjoy those types of restaurants because they have great gluten-free options. I have a variety of choices at a restaurant. So I just enjoy those those things. So hopefully you guys enjoyed my questions and my answers. I'm gonna go grab my mother and see if she's ready to answer these questions. This will be very entertaining because she always forgets my favorite things. Hello, mother!
unknownHello!
SPEAKER_00I'm ready for you.
SPEAKER_01I actually heard the chair moving. Oh wow! How are you doing?
SPEAKER_00Good. I was just telling them that this is gonna be your test of time because you always forget my favorite things. Or what I don't like to eat compared to things I like to eat. So, how was your alone time?
SPEAKER_01It was fine. I sent an email in doing so and um got some things done. That's good. Alrighty. Okay, I'm ready.
SPEAKER_00So, my first question for you is what is my favorite ice cream flavor?
SPEAKER_01Okay, favorite ice cream flavor. I mean, it's boring, but vanilla is one of them. Yes, yeah. Um, it's hard because you're gluten-free now. Wow. How many did you write down? Two. Okay, that's fun. Um, are we at the specialty ice cream store? Yes. Oh, wow. Oh goodness. I don't know.
SPEAKER_00There was a Well, it's at every ice cream store.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay. It's at every ice cream store. Okay, I thought it was at that one. I was gonna say that's gonna be really hard. If it's at every ice cream store, well, it's not cookies and cream because how's it cookies and cream? You can't eat it! It's still my favorite. Oh, goodness gracious. I'm things you can eat. Okay, all right, one for me. Write a point down. I get a point. Okay. Oh, do I get two points? Because I got both flavors. Two points. Okay. Um too funny. Yeah, we have this specialty ice cream store near us, and they you name it. They got, you know, cookie monster, mouse with a house, and all these other different things. And their Oreo, their cookies and cream is vanilla with Oreo cookies. Or something weird like that. But yeah, okay. All right, here we go. Okay, question two. Are you changing answers? No, no, no. I saw you writing something. Okay.
SPEAKER_00Question two. What is my favorite thing to do to relax? Paint? Yes.
SPEAKER_01Was there anything else? Um, all my questions. Yes or no?
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so paint number one. How many answers are there?
SPEAKER_00All my questions have two answers.
SPEAKER_01Oh Lord Jesus. Okay. Um, so paint. Okay, so it could be either reading or walking. Neither one? Those are good, but no. She's like, those are good. I do like doing those things. Oh, hold on. Paint. Yeah, you always it's not journaling, is it? Okay, I give up.
SPEAKER_00Listen to music.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_00All right.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_00All right. Number three. What is my favorite drink?
SPEAKER_01Alcoholic or non-alcoholic?
SPEAKER_00Both. I put both. Okay. You got this, clean.
SPEAKER_01Well, the the what's it called? Um, Malibu Bay breeze. Yep. So that's but your non-alcoholic drink, we really that is hard. Water? Why is that so funny? So funny. It's not water. Okay, then why must only because like we really don't get drinks in the house. So that's why I mean that's hard. Because we have water-flavored seltzers. So, and then we have water. Like, literally the two things. So, okay, if you were out to dinner at a restaurant, okay, then a Shirley Temple. Yes. Okay. Correct. Because I'm thinking about the house. Okay.
SPEAKER_00The house is water and grape juice. Well, you have a grape juice in a long time.
SPEAKER_01In a long time.
SPEAKER_00Ooh, that was funny. Okay. Okay. Fourth question: What is my favorite dessert? Oh gosh. All-time favorite dessert.
SPEAKER_01Brownies? No. Yeah, see?
SPEAKER_00Because you're always making brownies.
SPEAKER_01Banana. Then you make banana bread? No, that's not it either. The one time you had a gluten-free uh cookie mix. That's not your favorite either. Chocolate chip cookie is not my favorite. What is your favorite dessert? Ice cream.
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_00I enjoy ice cream, but it's not my favorite.
SPEAKER_01Wow, that's a hard one. Because you like you like sweets when you like sweets.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_01You're not an everyday sweet person, but when you like sweets, you like sweets. I think this is hard for me because you're like gluten-free now. So I'm trying to think what you eat that's gluten-free, not what you used to eat before, because you can't have the cookies and cream ice cream. Um, yeah. Yeah, I'm not gonna get this one.
SPEAKER_00It is a strawberry shortcake.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I can't remember the last time you ate that.
SPEAKER_00Wegmans.
SPEAKER_01Oh, they do have a gluten-free one. Okay.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Okay, my last question. I thought there was two. You said every question is two in the case?
SPEAKER_00Not that one.
unknownSorry.
SPEAKER_01She's over here cheating, y'all. Sorry, I only wrote one for that one. Okay, I did not get that one. You do enjoy that. You don't have much of it, but okay. Yeah. Strawberry shortcake. Got it.
SPEAKER_00Okay. Um, I don't know if I should have done this last question. Um, but what is my favorite restaurant?
SPEAKER_01I actually have the same one.
SPEAKER_00I put two for this answer.
SPEAKER_01Are you sure there's two? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Favorite restaurant. We don't really go out. We used to go out a lot. But we don't really go out as much because we're all so busy. Favorite restaurant? B-dubs? That's what you used to do in college because everybody else went. Oh, bloom. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_00I actually didn't even think of that one. But that I like that answer.
SPEAKER_01Okay, but that's not on your paper. You didn't tell the listeners that.
SPEAKER_00No, I didn't tell the listeners that, but that's a good place to. Oh, I should have wrote three because it's a big thing. Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay, oh, okay. That would have been what your favorite restaurant? Or what are we eating at this restaurant?
SPEAKER_00Um, pasta. I have pasta there.
SPEAKER_01Um where are we right now? Pasta there?
SPEAKER_00What else have I had?
SPEAKER_01Um gluten-free pasta?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Oh my gosh. Is it Burtons? Yeah. One of them is. Okay. Good job. You have five points. Oh my god. What's the other one?
SPEAKER_00Sedona Tap House.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I didn't know that.
SPEAKER_00Sedona Tap House, Burtons, and Bloom.
SPEAKER_01Oh, because I said bloom.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You didn't have one written down. Okay. And what were my possible points? Um. I could have got how many?
SPEAKER_00You just missed two. Two. Okay. So you could have got nine altogether. You got five.
SPEAKER_01That is not math. You said I missed two. There was nine. There was nine. And I got five, so I missed four. Oh yeah. The mathy math in. Alright, you gotta leave the mic. So we don't know. We're over here later.
unknownYou have to be that way.
SPEAKER_01Oh, can I have a pen? Yeah. Thank you. Where are you going? Upstairs. Okay. Alright. That was fun. Um, hopefully you enjoyed listening to her and doing all those things. Um, I will say, excuse me, my brain space is used for so many things. I still have to keep track of the 19-year-old, help him with things. So there's brain space. I have to help my husband, remind him of things, remind everybody at my job of things. So my brain space is gets smaller and smaller every day. Okay, here we go. So we're gonna see who knows who better. She might get all these things, she might not. So I have five questions also. So my very first one is when I am leaving, or if they are leaving, like my children, what do I say to them when they're headed out the door? We have our saying. We say, see ya, love ya, bye. You could steal it if you want, but I might copyright it. All right. My second question is what was my dream job when I was growing up? So when I was a kid, I wanted to be this person, I wanted to do these things. I actually worked within the field. Then I was like, oh, I'm glad I never fully did this because this is a lot. This is crazy. So it was a school teacher. I was actually, they called him para-educators, but a K-1 assistant, and I loved working with the kids. The school that I worked at, they did looping at the time. And what that means is you are with the same group of children, kindergarten and first grade. It was heaven. Kindergarten was rough, don't get me wrong. But then coming back after that summer off and being first graders, they already knew me, they already knew the head teacher, they knew their friends. You know, some could have left and we could have gotten some more, but it was the most easiest transition. So I do truly miss that. But being a school teacher, but I don't know how they do it. My husband's a teacher, he's a history teacher for high school. I don't know how they do it. All right, so my third question is what type of dogs? Yes, plural. Dogs that I have growing up. So, what I mean by that is the breed, and I'll explain that to her. But the breed was German Shepherds. Um, my uncle Tony um loved breeding, loved German shepherds. Our one dog was part wolf. His name was Caesar. That was interesting. Um, but they were all good, they were very loyal dogs. Love them completely, love them fully. Um, but bonus questions. We used to live, um, and where we lived when I lived with my mom, my aunt, and my uncle, um, we had a lot of land. It was my grandparents' house, and that got left to them. And like I said, we had a lot of land. So, bonus question for her is how many of these dogs did we have at one time? And the answer to that is 14. Crazy, right? 14 dogs, it was a lot, and because we breeded and everything else, they were outside dogs. We didn't have to meet they they were pets, but they weren't pets because they were outside. But I had two that were very loyal to me, and I loved my German shepherds. I love those dogs. My kids always wanted a pet when they were younger and a single mom. I just could not, I could not do it. It was a lot. So finally got a dog. We've had her this would be year four, I believe. Yeah, this would be year four that we've had her, and she's she's a doozy, I tell you. She's a doozy. All right. Question number four. What is my favorite restaurant? So, which I think is funny because she asked that. So I have two here Big Fish Grill and Olive Garden. Big Fish Grill is an amazing restaurant. Um, they used to have one out Westchester Glen Mills area, but they only have one in Delaware now. And Olive Garden, they're all over. Everybody knows where they're at. Excuse me. I love the never-ending pasto. That is definitely my favorite. And then what are my three favorite candies? I'm really bad with candy. I could have a whole candy dish at work with all different types of candies, chocolates in it, and I won't touch it. Out of a whole year, I might touch it two times, but everybody else, it's gone in days. But when I come home and I'm laying in bed in my nightstand drawer, oh, I'm opening that up and I'm grabbing all the candies and all the things. So three of my favorites are Twizzlers, Kit Katz, and Sour Patch. My favorite type of Sour Patch though is watermelon. But I love the grape, I love the blue guy, I love the peach, I love all the sour patch. But my favorite is the Sour Patch um watermelon, so which is really, really yummy for me. Alright, so I'm flipping my book over. I am going to head upstairs to go and grab her and to see if she can get these things. So even though this was a fun, quick um episode, hopefully you guys enjoyed it and got to know us better. So we're wanted to see if she can get all that. Here you go. She's got the TV all out, bringing her mic back so she has it.
SPEAKER_00Hey all!
SPEAKER_01Alrighty. Excuse me. Alright.
SPEAKER_00I'm ready for this.
SPEAKER_01We're gonna see how this goes.
SPEAKER_00Stelly, I'm gonna win.
SPEAKER_01She's gonna win.
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna win.
SPEAKER_01I talked about Stelly. Oh. Alrighty. Welcome back. Thank you. Thank you. What were you doing upstairs?
SPEAKER_00Watching Law and Order.
SPEAKER_01Oh, it is it no. Oh, it's just a repeat.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I was like, it's not Thursday. Alrighty. Number one. When I am leaving, or if you were leaving, what do I say? Love you, see ya bye. I thought I said see you, love you bye.
SPEAKER_00See you, love you bye.
SPEAKER_01But you got it in that form or fashion. I told you by I told them that I was going to um, what's it called, brand it, but they could use it if they wanted to. So you got one point. Yay! All right. Number two, what was my dream job when I was growing up? What did I want to be when I was a kid? When I grow up, I'm gonna be a. I love the face you're making.
SPEAKER_00Well, you always say you wanted to. No.
SPEAKER_01I don't know what that was gonna be.
SPEAKER_00Not a teacher?
SPEAKER_01Yes. A teacher? Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yay.
SPEAKER_01I thought that was gonna be a tough one. Andrew actually gave me that question. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I knew you always wanted to be a teacher, but I was gonna say you also in in high school you wanted to be the basketball manager.
SPEAKER_01That's what I wanted to be growing up. That makes sense. No. I said, never mind. I was like, in high school, I was a basketball manager. That's not what I wanted to be growing up. You're so funny. And I was telling them, I was like, yeah, I don't want to be a school teacher anymore. I don't know how they do it. Oh, you're too funny. Alright.
SPEAKER_00Um, what type of dogs did I have growing up? Um, 13 German shepherds and some cats.
SPEAKER_01Oh Lord Jesus. So German Shepherds was the breed. I was gonna say, bonus, bonus question. How many at one time? 13? It was 14. 14. You were one off. One off of your bonus question.
SPEAKER_00I said 14 German Shepherds.
SPEAKER_01You said 13. You can play it back. You can play it back. So we'll see. If she said 13, she was incorrect. When we play it back, she said 14, she's got it, and we'll add that bonus point to her. But I heard 13. Look at you just doing good. She does she does know me better. I told them that my brain space has been used for so many things. For the kids, now just the adult child, my husband, my job. So I don't have much brain space to remember things.
SPEAKER_00But I got her ten tones behind.
SPEAKER_01Here we go.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_01What are my two favorite restaurants?
SPEAKER_00Um, okay. One that's not here anymore.
SPEAKER_01So there's one that's not local, but it's still around. Uh oh, I oh, go ahead and say it.
SPEAKER_00Big fish grill.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so big fish grill is one. I thought you were gonna say something else and just click Big Fish Grill is one, good job. Um, but yeah, it's Olive Garden. What? She's cheating, y'all. No, she pieces paper. No, you said the one that's not around anymore. I thought you were gonna say hula hand.
SPEAKER_00Yes, I was gonna say hula.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay, okay. But yeah, I didn't know.
SPEAKER_00But I know that big fish girls in Delaware.
SPEAKER_01Yes, okay. Mm-hmm. Wow. She's over here cheating. Last question. We're gonna say she is just getting them all. Getting them all. Okay, last question. What are my three favorite candies?
SPEAKER_00Ooh, okay. Um, the Twizzlers.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_00Snickers.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_00No, no, no. Kit Kat. Yes.
SPEAKER_01No, no, no. No, no, no. Kit Kat. Twizzlers, Kit Kat. And the flickerish chunks. So shoelace chunks. Oh, that's shoelace strings. You should see the motion she's making. So, yes, I do. I do like the shoelace strings. I didn't put that down. So I'll give that to you. But do you want to guess something else?
SPEAKER_00Third candy. Gummy bears.
SPEAKER_01Not my favorite. I mean, I do eat them. I do, but they're I wouldn't say they're my favorite.
SPEAKER_00Oh.
SPEAKER_01The uh Mambas? Look at your face. You're like, I don't want to lose. You're not losing. You beat me.
SPEAKER_00I don't even know.
SPEAKER_01Sour patch.
SPEAKER_00You like Sour Patch kids?
SPEAKER_01The watermelons.
SPEAKER_00Oh yeah, the watermelons.
SPEAKER_01Yes, because they're sour patches. I like the all blues.
SPEAKER_00Oh yeah. I hardly see you eat those.
SPEAKER_01And that's the other thing, too. I was telling them that I'm I'm a candy person in bed. I'll open my you know drawer and do all that. I normally don't bring it down. Andrew, because I was asking him these questions, he said the ropes. The ropes are a new candy. And if you haven't picked it up, I am a Hershey fanatic. I said it. They can endorse me. I am a seasoned pass holder. I love that place because of the candy and because of the rides and just the atmosphere. Tassanae, congratulations. You got all but one.
SPEAKER_00Yay!
SPEAKER_01Yay me! I knew that she would do better than I did. So you know what? Congratulations. But that was fun. Hopefully, you guys like that cute little short one and got to know us a little better.
